Book Description

A Cinderella story on Cougar Mountain, with an escape artist playing fairy godmother, and a child getting a fresh start. Hard-working Zoey is dedicated to helping children learn, and has built her business to the neglect of having a family. When she rescues a dog on the freeway, she discovers that the escape artist brings a family with him, including a boy she would like to help, and as love grows, a man she would like to keep. But will Kellen ever trust her to help his son, much less give her his heart?

Book Review

Helping children with dyslexia is important to Zoey. She even used the money her grandmother gave her for college to put herself through the Davis program to become a trained facilitator. While her family was unable to understand her decision initially, they got behind her work when they realized what a difference she was making in the lives of children and adults with the gift of dyslexia.

When Zoey rescues a Border Collie from the roadside, she is unaware that its handsome owner has a dyslexic son. However much she would like to help young Resse, she must first convince his father Kellen that she can help. That she is not running a scam. Kellen is still trying to get over the unfortunate death of his wife Pam, who was pregnant with their second child at the time.

He feels attracted to Zoey, but then his feelings make him suspicious about her motives. Can he trust her to help his son? Will Zoey and he be friends, or more? Can a road washout give them both the time to figure out exactly how they should proceed? Find out as you read this story.
