A very sweet book for children. You can read it out loud to younger ones, but the age group of first graders and above can read it themselves. The repetition pattern in the book is something the children will enjoy. It will also enable them to recognize similar words faster as they read them again and again. Plus there is a whole lot of new vocabulary words that can be picked up by default merely by understanding each location described in the book where Jack hunts for Felicia. The illustrations are beautifully done. My kid enjoyed the book.

Unlike Amber I know a fair bit about basketball, so it was all the more fun for me to read about Chaos and the other plays they called. The gentle giant Ren was also an adorable character as Evan's teammate. I hope he gets his midnight star. Looking forward to read how Amber's brother Blue fares in his fight against the exes club. Will be sure to post that book review soon.

Book Review

This book has it all! Navy SEAL Tucker has a no commitment policy. He likes the ladies, but is upfront about just having fun. Then he meets Razor! aka Delaney O’Connell, the only female helicopter pilot for the 160th Night Stalkers. Razor cuts the men off before they even begin to get close.  Rewriting a classic epic three thousand years after it was originally written takes guts. Especially when the epic is Ramayana and its chief protagonist is considered a God by the majority of the Indian population. The author attempts to make the Ramayana more available to modern readers. He gives the bare details flesh and covers the bones of the story with characters that are as believable as they are lovable. The distant Lords and Sages suddenly become no more than humans who are trying to fight to preserve their way of life. Something that people today can identify with very well indeed.

I was quite interested in the treatment that he would give the ancient story seeped in mythology. I was not disappointed at all with the way he has written the book. In fact I am looking forward to the next novel in the series. Yes, I call it a novel because he has bridged the difference. Despite knowing the story I am interested in knowing the little details that he is embroidering into the tale. If you are interested in learning how to make a well loved and known tale into a new discovery this book is a must read.

Donna Fasano has explored the problems and solutions for each of these single Dad's beautifully. Each book is fun to read and the romance and characters are so real. They could be people you know personally. Very well written and totally enjoyed reading them all.
