Chad came home from the military with a lot of emotional baggage, but his cousin and best friend made sure that he did not shut them out. Then he slid back into the civilian life, taking on the security of their company. He was a big, beefy man, who no one would take liberties with… no one but Jennie. She is frivolous, calls him all kinds of nicknames, and laughs when she gets a raise out of him. Chad loves it, and he loves her, but he also knows her deepest secret.
