Book Description
England & Scotland, 1667: Jason Chase, the Marquess of Cainewood, is out to bring a blackguard to justice when he crosses paths with a woeful Scottish lad. When the lad turns out to be a lovely Scottishlass, he realizes she must be the notorious bounty hunter Emerald MacCallum. Convinced they're after the same man and her very life may be in danger, Jason decides he must keep Emerald close...
In Caithren Leslie's view, there couldn't be enough distance between her and the handsome but overbearing Englishman. She's searching for her wayward brother, but Jason won't let a little thing like the truth interfere with his absurd conviction that she's living under an assumed identity. Mindful of the dangerous traveling conditions, Cait grudgingly accepts his protection. Until, that is, she begins to suspect that mistrust isn't the only emotion between them...and their mission for justice just might turn out to be a quest for love...
Book Review
A female bounty hunter? In the old Scottish Highlands?! This is the second book in the series, so it would make a lot more sense if you read the first book. However that said, Jason and Caithren's story is full of twits and turns and is a lot of fun. I loved the actual historical events interspersed with the story in the book. On the whole the series seems to be an interesting one and I am definitely planning on reading the next book.

Ex-Army Specialist Jace River has a lock on his bedroom door, but it’s not to keep anyone out; it’s to keep his nightmares from breaking loose. His wolf is an out-of-control killer, which means he can never risk shifting, never truly be part of his pack, and definitely never take a mate.
Piper Wilding works for the Army as a civilian, traveling the world for her work in counterintelligence and fighting the bad guys while bedding down the good ones. The best part? It keeps her far from her asshole father in Seattle, the rest of the Wilding pack, and the pressure to take a mate. Settling down isn’t her thing, and after what happened to her mother, Piper vowed she would never be tied down by magic or men again.
While Jace’s wolf keeps him Sleepless in Seattle, Piper returns home to find her missing kid brother. When she breaks into the River brothers' safehouse, sparks fly and claws come out. Her sexy skills threaten to bring out Jace’s wolf, and Jace’s good-guy hotness reminds Piper how tempting shifter men can be. They’re like fire and gasoline, and as they race to find Piper’s brother, the heat threatens to burn down all their carefully constructed walls. But falling in love has never been so dangerous—and being together means taking risks that neither might survive.
Book Review
Jace believed he can't control his wolf. That it turned killer in Afghanistan. He doesn't trust shifting to wolf form around people he cares for and ensures that the deadbolt on his door is locked each night to keep others safe from him.
Piper doesn't believe for one minute that Jace or his wolf would hurt her, or anybody for that matter. She needs help to free her younger brother but hesitates to involve anyone other than her middle brother. That means sneaking into Jace's family home in the middle of the night.
There is something about the intruder in his home that Jace feels protective about, but she is not exactly waiting for him to rescue her. The two of them realize that there is more to what meets the eye when they begin researching shifter disappearances from enlisted military men. Nice light paranormal read. Not for kids under 18!

Book Review
I know its probably just a case of cheering for the underdog, but I sincerely like Nate better than Warren. Yes, Sloan has an amazing connection with Warren, and yes it makes a lot of sense for the two Seramorta to hook up for the sake of the story, but I'm still hoping Nate has a chance at a happy ending. With or without Sloan.
This book is all about how Nate came to town. How he ended up with a girl friend despite not really being in the market for one. Its basically background to the Soul Summoner book and sort of a prequel. Interesting if you are on team Nate!

Book Review
Every once in a while a book comes along that makes you laugh, has you on the metaphoric edge and has you cheering for the team of characters. This is one of those. Couldn't put the book down. Had to finish it in one sitting. Please do read the first book in the series to get a better idea of exactly what's happening in Sloan's life.
This was a fast paced story with a number of twists and turns as she finally meets her birth mother and understands exactly what she is. The bromance between Warren and Nathan is fun and extremely alpha male. I really don't want to give away the plot for those of you who would like to read this book. All I want to say is that I really want to know what happens once Warren leaves!
If you enjoy reading quick moving and eventful fiction, you are going to really enjoy this book.

Book Description
First comes love.
Then comes marriage.
Then comes a—
Hold up. You’re joking right? As if life works off a neat little list like that, moving down, checking things off before jumping to the next task. We’re not married. We’re not lovers. Hell, we’re hardly even friends. Noah Wilson isn’t exactly “life partner” material, and he sure as hell isn’t “father material”. He’s my older brother’s best friend, and has been off limits, sworn off, locked in the highest tower and out of reach since we met over ten years ago. With his devilish good looks, tattoos, motorcycle, and trail of broken hearts and tears, I’ve had good reason to stay away from the bad boy my mother warned me about.
Until one night. One stupid, regrettable night that changed both of our lives forever. And now I only have nine months to decide our fate, to see if Noah’s rebel heart is capable of anything more than a one night stand.
This isn’t a love story. This is a life story. And life doesn’t go according to plan.
Book Review
Noah is a bad boy. He accepts it, and yes is almost staggeringly proud of all the trouble he can raise. Right from school he's been getting in to all kinds of scrapes. He's very thankful for his best friend, Collin for staying with him and supporting him even when no one else in the world, including his mother, seems to give a rat's ass about him. Then while waiting for the Principal to read him the riot act he sees this beautiful girl and falls instantly in love.
Lauren is idealistic, wants to be a vet and does not believe students should perform dissections in school. She is in the office to protest to the procedure. That's when she meets Noah. He's exactly the kind of bad boy her mother has warned her to stay away from. She's a bona fide good girl. There is no way that she is ever going to get involved with Noah. And yet, there is something about him that has always drawn her. Perhaps its just the lure of what you know is forbidden.
Before Noah can make a move he realises that Lauren is Collin's younger sister. Being a strong believer in the Bro-Code, he makes her off limits and they drift to the sidelines in each others lives. Its been years and then Lauren is trying to escape from a particularly bad date when she walks into the bar where Noah is helping out. Being just a little tipsy and without transportation Lauren agrees to Noah taking her home. Down a couple of more shots, both of them finally do it, and wake up without a memory of the deed the next morning. They agree to never mention it again and go back to life as usual.
There's only one hitch in that plan - Lauren finds out that she's pregnant!
Lauren knows that while having a baby at this time in her life may not be ideal, there is no way she is getting rid of the child. She wants this baby, even if the father wants nothing to do with it. Noah is feeling like he got handed a dozen birthdays and Christmas gifts at once. Now not only can he claim Lauren for good, he will even have Collin's blessing for doing so. Just one problem remains - convincing Lauren that he really does want to be a part of their baby's life.
They decide to get to know each other better and see if things will work out. Its like a whole series of hit and misses before they finally find their equation. The author's done a great job of exposing the vulnerabilities of each of them and how they are so scared to open up their inner self to the other. Beautifully written.
I received a gift copy for my honest opinion and I'll let you know its well worth reading the book. You will enjoy it.
