PARADISE COVE (PARADISE SERIES Book 1)
Book Description
This new heart-warming contemporary romance takes place in the Florida Keys and promises romance/passion, family values, and plenty of adventure. Cardiac surgeon Sean Flannigan lost his daughter to a rare form of leukaemia; he can mend broken hearts, but his is beyond repair. Kayla Holmes, along with her sisters, inherited guest cottages in the Keys after their stepfather died. Their high spirits and positive energy are a beacon of light that directs Sean's sail boat into Paradise Cove. Can Kayla's compassion find a crack in Sean's armour? Sometimes love isn’t enough to heal a wounded heart.
Book Review
Kayla and Sean's story is a great start to a new series by Patrice Wilton. Three sisters decide to help their mother run the guest
cottages their step father bequeathed them just before his death. They all move
from their respective lives ad come to Paradise Cove. The resort has a good
location, but is badly in need of restoration and the sisters have decided that
they are going to get the needful done. This book has the story of how the
eldest, Kayla, finds her prince charming.
Dr Sean Flannigan has decided that he has nothing more to
live for when he is unable to save his daughter from leukaemia. His wife in her
grief blames him for not being able to cure her and they get a divorce. Sean
isn’t operating at full throttle in the operation theatre and decides to take a
break. This means sailing on his boat and out of his old life, maybe even to
end his life.
What Sean hasn’t counted on is meeting Kayla. Her compassion
may just be what he needed to get over his own depression. Beautiful beginning
to another romantic series by Patrice Wilton. I received this book as a gift
from the author for an honest opinion. It’s a lovely romantic read with a lot
of very real life situations that crop up in the girls family.

Book Description
Santa knows best...
Waitress Lucy West is down on her luck at the diner. A fan of late-night television reruns, she's always dreamed of a nineteen-fifties style happily ever after. But, in reality, she's opted to settle. Barely scraping by on her meager salary and tired of going it alone, she figures marrying affable, yet distractible, Mitch as making the right move. Little does she know that Christmastime--and Santa--have other plans in store...
Bachelor dad William Kinkaid has his hands full with a young teenage son and a five-year-old daughter. Since losing his wife to cancer three years before, William's worked hard to keep things as upbeat and normal for the family as possible. After his child makes a special Christmas wish, William's stunned to awaken Christmas morning to find a beautiful blonde on the sofa. The woman can't remember a thing, and his kid thinks Santa brought her. Can William solve the mystery about who she really is, without giving away his heart?
Book Review
This has got to be the cutest amnesia twist story that I've read in a long time. There is just so much comedy going on in the whole situation and then there's the underlying love and affection just coming through on so many levels. Ginny Baird has excelled herself on this one.
Lucy is getting ready to get married, but her finance seems more interested in growing his business than growing their relationship. Still she tells herself she can't complain.
Carmella wants a new mom from Santa for Christmas and is fairly certain that she is going to get one. Her excitement knows no bounds when a mom is apparently delivered by Santa!
Justin doesn't want a new mom. He's not sure that his father is entirely innocent in the whole matter of the woman on the couch in the morning. Plus his mad net skills do add some complications to the situation.
William didn't think he was interested in romance any more. He was only interested in being the best possible parent to his kids, then Lucy made him realize he was perhaps ready for something more.
Totally enjoyed reading the book. All the typical twists that you would expect and some that you would never have thought of. A good clean, fun read!

Book Description
Sang Sorenson's abusive mother is secure in a hospital, and her father has vanished to a new family of his own, leaving Sang and her sister to fend for themselves. Sang is hanging by a thread, and her only hope is a group of boys she feels she barely knows.
She's never really alone. The Academy team has stepped in, promising to protect and care for Sang. Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Gabriel, Luke and North take over, showing Sang they can be depended on for anything. But just because the parents are away, doesn't mean Sang's life has become any easier.
The newfound freedom will have a higher price than any of them had imagined.
Principal Hendricks now wants to use Sang to exploit Academy secrets. Mr. McCoy has his own dark plans for her. Enemies are closing in. Sang will need to learn to believe in the boys, and the boys will need to learn to trust her if they want to survive their rivals.
And each other.
Book Review
After having to be oh so careful not to let her parents know about her new friend circle, Sang now has carte blanche. She can do what she wants, when she wants and with whomever she wants. The boys are all still super protective of her, but want her to come out and play. To enjoy all the basic things that teenagers do when in high school. They want to give her a taste of "normal" life, but the Academy Boys have never truly been normal themselves.
All of them seem to be vying for her attention and more than one is showing a romantic interest in her. Leaving Sang utterly confused about where she stands in the group. She wants to be with them, but she feels she is not doing anything to help. Even as she gets more independent and stronger she is overwhelmed by the attention that she constantly receives from the boys. Are they ever going to make the plan work? Now that's the million dollar question.
I'm still not sure why I'm reading this series again, but the fantasy is a good one. What's not to like for a girl to be wooed by nine dreamy boys all perfect in their own way. Of course the eventual question is who is she going to settle with, and does she really have to settle?

Gigi Bassano
Young. Beautiful. Idealistic. Proud. Gigi was raised outside the Andrade clan, but it has left her with an ache she cannot deny. It’s a recipe for disappointment and heartbreak.
Especially when she throws herself at her brother’s best friend, Kane.
Kane Sander
Sexy, rich, loyal, protective. He shouldn't want her. But he will.
He should stay away from her. But he won’t.
Love doesn’t follow anyone’s rules. Deny it. Run from it. Love always finds a way.
Book Review
When Gigi decides to attend her brothers' wedding incognito, she is forced with this feeling of loneliness. She is about to have a pity party on the beach at the sides of the party when Kane finds her. He's already a little smitten by the sexy Italian he saw earlier in charge of the party arrangements, but when he sees the sadness in her eyes, he is drawn by something more. Only trouble is, she's much too young. He walks away that night, but try as he will he can't forget her.
Years later when he discovers that Gigi is Gio's little sister he knows he should not go anywhere near her considering the Bro Code. Unfortunately the old attraction is still very much there, stronger than before. They go through their ups and downs and as is true of all good romance novels finally resolve their issues and get together. I loved the scene where Gio's wife locks her husband and Kane out of Gigi's apartment when both of them start a pissing match. It was so funny! All in all, fun read, good time pass, specially if you have been reading the full series.
