Book Description
A bachelor finds a pair of twins on his doorstep on Christmas morning then is even more stunned to learn from a pretty social worker that the baby girls, Mary and Bryte, have him listed on county paperwork as their father. A sweet and poignant tale about accepting the gifts of the season.
Emergency room physician Mark Holiday thinks he's seen just about everything life can deliver. That is, until twin baby girls land on his doorstep on Christmas morning. At a loss to explain where these babies came from, Mark's even more perplexed to learn from a pretty social worker that county paperwork lists him as Mary and Bryte's dad. Though he long ago gave up believing in Santa, Mark can't shake the niggling feeling that Old Saint Nick had something to do with this special delivery. Especially since it leads Mark to meeting the woman of his dreams.
Feisty social worker Natalie Church is sick to death of deadbeat dads. She certainly can't believe a guy would deny his own kids at Christmas! But the more Natalie gets to know Mark Holiday, the more she starts to wonder if his story is for real. When the pair becomes stuck at Mark's house during a blustery snowstorm, Natalie and Mark are forced to work together to care for the twins, while trying to solve the mystery of their unexpected arrival. As the holidays unfold, new facts emerge--exposing Mark and Natalie's minds to new possibilities. Will the magic of the season help them open up their hearts as well?
Book Review
This is a pure feel good read. The two protagonists are brought together when a couple of babies are abandoned at the doorstep of a bachelor.
The social worker assumes that Mark Holiday is a deadbeat dad. While Natalie Church has seen many fathers abandon their responsibility, Mark's caring behaviour towards the twins is at odds with her opinion.
Forced to take care of the twins together, Mark and Natalie come close, but things take a turn for the worse when it turns out that the babies are actually Mark's.

Book Review
Rose has always been the romantic who wanted to marry a title. After she loses Rand to Lily, she decides a change in scene is due and goes to court. She's always down played her skills and brains, but with Kit, she can be herself.
He's got no title, he's just a commoner who happens to be a friend of the family. What he's got is ambition to become the Royal Architect. He also wants to marry Rose, but how is he going to get her to see him as more than an old friend?
It was interesting to see the references to Wren in the story, made it more real. Now Rose has to decide if she wants love or power.

Book Description
England, 1677: Lily Ashcroft is far and away the most conventional member of her eccentric family. Though she fell for dashing Oxford professor Lord Randal Nesbitt at the tender age of sixteen, she buried her feelings in deference to society's expectation that her older sisters marry first. Four years later, her sister Rose has now set her sights on Rand—and though it breaks her heart, what else can Lily do but help her beloved sister land the man of her dreams?
What no one considers are Rand's feelings on the matter. He's been nursing a secret affection for sweet, compassionate Lily ever since their first meeting. But Rose is just as beautiful and shares his academic interests. Now he finds himself caught between two lovely sisters—the one he's expected to wed and the one who's captured his heart...
Book Review
Lily is the gentle one, not aggressive like Rose. She's had a crush on Randal for a long time, but now Rose wants to marry him. With her sister expected to wed before her Lily decides to step back, only to realize that Rand is equally set on her.
Rand's unhappy childhood and face off with his father are more bearable when Lily is around to tame them. Her affinity to animals and her tender, bleeding heart are easy to fall for. Rand's a goner, but he feels that she should have better than what he has to offer.
Of course the two so them manage to get through their limited thinking and hook up in the end.

Book Review
A
high school student dealing with visions and powers that run in the
family, a nosy cousin, a concerned boy friend, a demanding best friend
and her job as a gliding instructor. It's a well written story about a
girl who has to overcome much in life to even approach something called
normalcy. There are chill,s thrills and a superb climax which will leave
you biting your nails. I swear there were times I wanted to jump right
into the book to help them prove who did it!

Book Description
England, 1673: The Ashcroft family motto is "Question Convention," and eldest sister Violet agrees with the sentiment completely. For one thing, she's not planning to marry. Plain Violet is smart enough to realize any suitors would be after her large inheritance, or else interested in her beautiful younger sisters—and she'd much rather spend her time improving her mind than risking her tender heart...
Having wasted six years wooing a lady who eloped with another man, Ford Chase, Viscount Lakefield, has had it with women. Ford would much rather spend his time pursuing the sciences and constructing the first watch with a minute hand. Having his young niece dropped in his lap proves an unwelcome, annoying distraction...until an uncommonly intelligent neighbor named Violet comes to help...
Book Review
This is the story of Ford and Violet. The sweet version of the original book called Violet. The intellectual and scholarly Ford Chase is trying his best to come to terms with baby sitting his niece Jewel while the rest of her family suffers from measles. That's when Violet's Mum steps in with what seems to him a brilliant idea to keep Jewel occupied.
Rowan and Jewel can play together leaving Ford free to his own devices while Violet baby sits them. Then as plans often do, it all falls apart because it's not just Jewel who is looking forward to visits from their neighbours. I love that he made her spectacles. That was just such a sweet gesture! I received the book as a gift from the authors in return for my honest opinion

Will he pass the daddy test?
With his job in jeopardy, it couldn’t be a worse time for Sheriff Nate Landry’s recent past to come back to haunt him. But it would take an army to stop SWAT team leader Julie Smith. The fellow cop–and sister of his ex-fiancé—wants one thing from the beleaguered lawman: custody of the toddler son that Nate didn’t know he had.
He may not be natural daddy material, but he quickly takes a shine to little Duke. And there are the feelings Nate’s been hiding for years. Only now Julie’s running for sheriff of Harmony Valley—against him. Time to retreat? Not if he wants a future with the woman he loves.
Book Review
I've always enjoyed the Harmony Valley stories. A town of geriatrics creating opportunities for the town to return to it's former glory. The young, often troubled, souls that come drifting into town. Looking for and finding a niche to settle down into. This book is no exception.
For those of you who remember Sheriff Nate Landry from previous books, including the pink wedding gown that he was gifted, you will be happy to know that he does indeed find his match in this book. Julie was his partner in his previous job. What is a surprise is Duke. The little one who was born to Julie's sister battling with cancer.
One doesn't think a guy as honorable as Nate would leave a pregnant, cancer survivor behind, but the circumstances did play into just that happening. This story is about the Daddy Test, and if Julie can stay long enough to administer it, and also if Nate can get over his own past demons to survive it.
Beautiful story, rich characters and as usual interesting side lines into the town's residents.

Book Description
England & Scotland, 1668: Kendra Chase's brothers are telling her it's high time she get married. But although they've presented her with many wealthy, titled suitors, no man has caught her fancy—until her coach is held up by a dashing, mysterious highwayman. When she and the dangerous man are caught in a compromising embrace and her overprotective brothers insist they wed, Kendra cannot believe it. Are they really desperate enough to match her with an outlaw?
Scottish-born Patrick "Trick" Caldwell is the Duke of Amberley—and also the notorious Black Highwayman, an identity he has assumed in order to right past wrongs and serve his king. But his already complicated life becomes positively convoluted when he finds himself compelled to marry a red-headed temptress he's only just met. Caught in a web of half-truths and forced into a perilous mission, can Trick extricate himself and find love with the woman destined to steal his heart?
Book Review
Kendra's a bit of a tomboy, given the fact that she's the only girl among all the Chase brothers. She's had a fairly unconventional upbringing on the continent and is not really interested in the silly suitors at court. However her brothers think it's high time she settled down. In a fit she rides out on her own only to be held up by the highwayman.
What she doesn't know is that the mysterious highway man is actually Trick Caldwell, her brother's friend and also the Duke of Amberly. Her brother's willingness to give her in marriage to a man who seems to be nothing more than an outlaw causes her more than a mild panic attack. Of course things get sorted out in the end and they do get their HEA.
