This bachelor’s pretend girlfriend just made a shocking discovery—

She’s pregnant!

Although they dated for only a month, Harley O’Hannigan just agreed to be Vince Messina’s plus-one at a Harmony Valley wedding. Big mistake, given her deepening feelings for the tall, dark, unavailable bachelor. And what about Vince’s long-buried family history? Then there’s the growing secret that could transform this pretend relationship into the real thing…

Book Review

I enjoy every trip I make back to Harmony Valley. This time round we meet Vince Messina. He's coming home to his brother Joe's wedding. Naturally he can't go back alone. He needs a date and the only person he would ever consider asking is the girl who he's still hung up on even after breaking up with. After all he knows he can never truly commit to a relationship and bring the hell that his father brought to their house on anyone he truly loves.

Harley O’Hannigan has a secret that has her working as a lowly construction worker despite her architect's degree. She's bound by law and unable to share her troubles. That makes Vince think that she's simply throwing away the advantages that a good education have given her. If only things were as simple as they seemed, but in Harley's life nothing ever is.

Now Harmony Valley plays it's magic between the two. Of course things become a bit more complicated when Harley realizes that she's pregnant with Vince's baby. Vince runs from the emotional attachment, convinced that he's doing the best for her. She may have lost one Messina with her pregnancy announcement but she's gained a ready made family with his brothers and their wives.

While Vince tries to sort out his issues by visiting his mother, Harley is trying to pick up the pieces and start a fresh in Harmony Valley. It's the magic of the town that brings them back to each other.

Will he pass the daddy test?
With his job in jeopardy, it couldn’t be a worse time for Sheriff Nate Landry’s recent past to come back to haunt him. But it would take an army to stop SWAT team leader Julie Smith. The fellow cop–and sister of his ex-fiancĂ©—wants one thing from the beleaguered lawman: custody of the toddler son that Nate didn’t know he had.
He may not be natural daddy material, but he quickly takes a shine to little Duke. And there are the feelings Nate’s been hiding for years. Only now Julie’s running for sheriff of Harmony Valley—against him. Time to retreat? Not if he wants a future with the woman he loves.

Book Review

I've always enjoyed the Harmony Valley stories. A town of geriatrics creating opportunities for the town to return to it's former glory. The young, often troubled, souls that come drifting into town. Looking for and finding a niche to settle down into. This book is no exception.

For those of you who remember Sheriff Nate Landry from previous books, including the pink wedding gown that he was gifted, you will be happy to know that he does indeed find his match in this book. Julie was his partner in his previous job. What is a surprise is Duke. The little one who was born to Julie's sister battling with cancer.

One doesn't think a guy as honorable as Nate would leave a pregnant, cancer survivor behind, but the circumstances did play into just that happening. This story is about the Daddy Test, and if Julie can stay long enough to administer it, and also if Nate can get over his own past demons to survive it.

Beautiful story, rich characters and as usual interesting side lines into the town's residents.

Book Description

Duffy Dufraine just found out he's going to be an uncle. Jessica Aguirre came to Harmony Valley in search of the father of her unborn child, which is by no means him. An accident may have damaged the expectant mom's memory, but he knows his twin is the man she's looking for. But Greg's gone, which leaves Duffy the only family Jess has. And he has to make things right. Offering her a temporary place to stay seems an ideal short-term solution. Until she stirs desires that make the embattled vineyard manager rethink his own long-term game plan. Is he ready to offer Jess and her baby a home to call their own—with him?

Book Review

Michael Dufraine has shifted to Harmony Valley after finally being relived of the responsibility of looking after his parents when his twin Greg ran off with all their savings. He may not be happy that Greg is dead, but he is sure relieved that he doesn't have to handle any more of Greg’s messes. Then Jessica Aguirre walks into his life, complete with amnesia and a bun in the oven put there by Greg.

Jess is going crazy not knowing what her baby’s father was like. The accident left her with no recent memories and Greg is just a fleeting glimpse in her mind till she sees Duffy’s photograph in the newspaper. She is hopeful that six months later she may actually be meeting her significant other. For Duffy it is a shock to to know that he has one more loose end left over from Greg’s life to tie up.

He may be about to become an uncle, but he wants nothing to do with that responsibility. Where do they go from here? Stir in nosy neighbours, a friendly town who wants a new baker and some really bad weather and it gets much more interesting.

Now her former best friend is back, shaking up the widowed wine harvester's world. The safest bet is to protect herself. Except Gage is awakening feelings that are decidedly unfriend-like.

Shelby is the woman Gage has secretly loved since high school. Starting over—together—could be the best dream he's ever had. If only he can find the courage to say what he should have said all those years ago.
