Book Review
Anna is a cop with Interpol. She
has her own past demons and one is facing her in the form of her current
boss, who used to be an ex-boyfriend. She feel dead inside, till she
spends an hour in the presence of a stranger, Freddie. With his
fluctuating accent from French to American, the man is obviously some
kind of con artist feels Anna the cop, but Anna the woman, just wants to
go with the flow and see where they end up.
The tough cop falls for
this player, who turns out to be a pivotal part of an ongoing
investigation that she is involved in. An international task force is
trying to shut down the major players in an online gambling syndicate,
and Freddie is a boxer who has been signed up for a heavy money game. Is

The ebook is a modern day fairy story where the fairy godmother is
replaced by a ferret godfather. Frankie the ferret not only helps
Isabella get a magical pink bicycle which she can ride everywhere, but
also helps to get her father out of a tight spot. The miner is hoping
to be rescued after a mine collapse traps him in under the mountain. It
is Frankie who urges Isabella to get the town's people to the other side
of the mountain where he literally goes down a rabbit hole to conduct
the rescue. There is a happy ending where all is well.
The children
will love the fact that the book actually links to videos of Frankie the
ferret. Being into multi media in most of their other games, it keeps
the book interesting for them. Story is simple and magical. Note to the
parents : The videos may have to be watched more than once!

Book Review
Finding books for children to read on Kindle is no longer a major challenge. With the ease of a digital edition, one can introduce children to a number of new authors who write engaging and entertaining stories specifically for children. In Alf the workshop dog, my son not only enjoyed the fairy tale come to life effect of the story, but also the links to the video for Zanubia's national anthem. I've not yet got around to downloading the software to scan the QR squares, but his persistent pestering will ensure that I do it soon. The story itself was a very simple evil and good divide, with encouraging children to stick to the good no matter how bad the road gets lesson.The book was simple enough for my 9 year old to read with ease.
