Book Description
Will he pass the daddy test?
With his job in jeopardy, it couldn’t be a worse time for Sheriff Nate Landry’s recent past to come back to haunt him. But it would take an army to stop SWAT team leader Julie Smith. The fellow cop–and sister of his ex-fiancĂ©—wants one thing from the beleaguered lawman: custody of the toddler son that Nate didn’t know he had.
He may not be natural daddy material, but he quickly takes a shine to little Duke. And there are the feelings Nate’s been hiding for years. Only now Julie’s running for sheriff of Harmony Valley—against him. Time to retreat? Not if he wants a future with the woman he loves.
Book Review
I've always enjoyed the Harmony Valley stories. A town of geriatrics creating opportunities for the town to return to it's former glory. The young, often troubled, souls that come drifting into town. Looking for and finding a niche to settle down into. This book is no exception.
For those of you who remember Sheriff Nate Landry from previous books, including the pink wedding gown that he was gifted, you will be happy to know that he does indeed find his match in this book. Julie was his partner in his previous job. What is a surprise is Duke. The little one who was born to Julie's sister battling with cancer.
One doesn't think a guy as honorable as Nate would leave a pregnant, cancer survivor behind, but the circumstances did play into just that happening. This story is about the Daddy Test, and if Julie can stay long enough to administer it, and also if Nate can get over his own past demons to survive it.
Beautiful story, rich characters and as usual interesting side lines into the town's residents.

Make Me a Match: Baby, Baby\The Matchmaker Wore Skates\Suddenly Sophie
Book Description
Three bachelors turned…matchmakers?
One special night with Cooper Hamilton gave Nora Perry a precious gift. But no way is the sweet-talking salesman the right guy for her…or is he?
Former pro athlete Ty Porter could get burned when he falls for the beautiful reporter who ruined his career—and could now expose his most zealously guarded secret!
Gideon Walker has a long history with free-spirited flower shop owner Sophie Jennings. But when the banker-matchmaker fixes her up with potential candidates, he realizes he's made a terrible mistake…
Book Review
This is a set of three novellas written by three different authors about a set of three friends in K-Bay Alaska and how each of them finds love. Coop is surprised when Nora tracks him down with a baby in tow and claims that it is his. While he is stunned, being the certified bachelor that he is, the little bundle of joy makes him want things that he has never thought about before. All the time he is trying to match up six couples in their hometown to get a job in the Lower 48 from their ex high school hockey coach.
Ty was the local hockey star who was supposed to have been the ticket out of town for the three friends, but a self inflicted accident caused the dream to crash. A crash which was recorded in excruciating details by former girlfriend Kelsey. Now she is back in town to cover their crazy match making business and he's pulling back hoping that she doesn't take away the last of his secrets to make her new headlines.
Gideon is just about ready to run out of town and being its staid banker is not making him feel any better. The matchmaking bet is about to give him a great chance to get out of K-Bay and he's bound to its success. However when Sophie asks to be matched up with someone, there is no way he feels that he can give her to someone else in town. How is he ever going to let her go to someone else when he realizes just how deeply his heart is involved.
Awesome set of stories. Really enjoyed the creative way the three authors have brought the town and characters alive. Well worth reading.

Time For Love
Book Review
Its a second chance story for Kathy and Dylan. Both have had to deal with alcoholic parents and have had their measure of set backs. Kathy is a recovering alcoholic who is working hard to regain her son Truman's love and trust. I really liked how her daily struggle and low self worth is documented.
Dylan needs redemption from a horse training accident which caused him to loose his nerve and taint his reputation. Not to mention surviving a divorce where his ex-wife is making it difficult for him to be with his son Zach. The two of them make an odd pair, but when you look deeper there's a lot in common.
Will they be able to survive the current crisis in their lives and make a future together? Read the book to find out.

Book Review
Having read a lot of Melinda's books I was looking forward to reading ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID and it didn't disappoint. The chef and the baker working together in the kitchen made for some interesting reading. Sean may have thought that having three younger sisters made him ready for anything female, but he was definitely not prepared for the Siberian Curse. Nicole may not know that the man she is pining after is gay, but she is even more confused about the two sides of Chef Sean. Does he want to yell at her or kiss her senseless? Amazing chemistry in the kitchen and outside it! The sweater makeover was hilarious!
