Book Review

What I like most about the books Mimi writes is the underlying humour! In My Cheeky Angel we get treated to a love interest, a social cause and an otherworldly presence all dealt with in the sweetest possible manner. I love that Annie goes though so much to make a big change in the way her life is going and adore how Tyler tries to come to terms with all the changes that ripple through his life as a consequence. Totally enjoyed their romance... Specially when a hungover Annie doesn't even remember Tyler's kisses! That part and his reaction was hilarious!

Having read a number of other books by Ginny I was a little surprised at the paranormal element, but totally enjoyed it.
The Ghost Next Door - Elizabeth is a woman on a mission - make the little weekly newspaper come alive and make a good life for her teenaged daughter and herself in the new town. When things get a little spooky, Nathan, the town sheriff steps in to help. While Nathan is happy to be the one to keep the town safe, he'd rather keep his heart safer in Elizabeth's hands. He wants them to like the town and stay. Not leave like his sister Bella and niece Melody, but there are secrets around that may just drive the mother daughter duo away.

The Light at the End of the Road - Samantha Williams is in a hurry to get to the hospital where her father is undergoing heart surgery. The weather is terrible and a road block causes her to try some back roads which she would ordinarily never traverse. Then her car skids and she is in mortal danger. Emily is just trying to erase her past to move on with her life. For some reason she believes sleeping with a hot shifter is going to do the trick. Noah is looking to catch a killer who is targeting shifters but he doesn't expect to feel so protective towards this human he meets at the motel.
If you liked the River Pack series you are gonna love the Wildings. We learn more about why the Wilding pack is not as close knitt as the normal wolf packs and the dirty secret that genetics has passed down to Noah. That was simply too good! And I have been wondering where all the witches have disappeared since Jaxson's book, so yes, that was a very good twist. I got a free copy from the author for an honest opinion. You know what? I am Totally hooked on to the series and can't wait to see what happens next.

This new series is actually a continuation of the River Pack series. After the three brothers manage to rescue Piper they discover that the Wilding Pack's details have been released to the public. Hate groups are out to get them and the security that they can provide is desperately needed. Owen, who was Jace's friend and has been through his fair share of torture and experiments at the hands of Agent Smith is the hero for this story. His mate is the gaming heiress Nova.

Nova's father has been killed by the Wolf Hunter's minions and now they are after her. Owen stands between her and death a couple of times before she realises that he means more than a body guard to her. Owen is trying to stay away as he's not shifted since the cages and he doesn't know what his wolf is like now. He doesn't want to condemn Nova to a life with out a mate. Then she gets kidnapped! I'm not spoiling the rest of the story for you. I was gifted a copy of the book by the author for an honest review. And I honestly feel that if you like shifter romances and enjoyed the River Pack series, you are gonna love reading this and finding out what all the characters are up to next.

I received an advance copy of the book from the author for an honest review. I honestly feel this series is even better than Sutton Capital one.

We met the three sisters and mother who run the Paradise Cove Cottages in the first book series of the series. This is the second book with Taylor's story. She finally manages to open that dream cafe of hers and just as things seem to be going well, a hurricane blows through the Florida Keys. Well, there is a storm brewing in her personal life with charter boat Captain Colt. At first he's just her best friend who gives her fresh free fish and she reciprocates with free food during happy hour. Then an old friend of hers passes through town and Colt seems to change before her eyes from a laid back friend to an almost possessive man. I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review and I can truly say that there's an excellent story, with many familiar players from the first book making an appearance.

Book Review

There is a lot of well integrated humour in this book besides featuring a chest thumping alpha male and a highly independent woman. Of course the actual rescue takes up a lot of Tanner and Allesandra's story. Its a book with a good core story and believable characters. Supported with good writing. The author has done a great job. I have not read any of the other books in the series so was feeling a bit lost when the host of characters from previous books made an entry towards the end of the book, but it seems that the book can be read as a stand alone without many issues. Its a pretty standard contemporary romance with a wounded warrior, but good time pass. And yes, rescues can work both ways.

After a very long time I read a book that made me laugh out loud at the antics of the main protagonist! Seriously the things this girl Kelsie will do to get out of a bad date are hilarious! Her mother and best friend Nanci with an i, are trying to set her up with men so that she gets over her two year old divorce. However she needs to keep dating imperfect men so that she doesn't develop feelings for any one. Then the perfect Cole steps into her life and makes it a habit of rescuing her. Very cute love story with a highly reluctant heroine!

Kayla and Sean's story is a great start to a new series by Patrice Wilton. Three sisters decide to help their mother run the guest cottages their step father bequeathed them just before his death. They all move from their respective lives ad come to Paradise Cove. The resort has a good location, but is badly in need of restoration and the sisters have decided that they are going to get the needful done. This book has the story of how the eldest, Kayla, finds her prince charming.

Book Review

Katelyn is finally coming home. Her father may have kept her away from Evers since the brutal death of her mother, but now he's on his sick bed and she needs to be with him. The angst of the little girl who was sent away by the father she loved so soon after the death of her own mother is beautifully articulated in the book.

John has been more than a co-worker for Katelyn's father. He has been his only family in town. John looks up to his mentor and knows how much it would mean to him to be able to solve the mystery of his wife's murder before he died. So when he realized that Katelyn may have actually seen something the night of the murder, he wants to push her into remembering.

Only trouble is Katelyn wants nothing to do with him. She's always been jealous of how close he was to her father and despite acknowledging that he was indeed a good looking and decent man, there was no way she was going to fall for his charms. John finds himself getting much closer to his mentor's daughter than he thinks is permissible and both of them are fighting an attraction they don't want to feel. 

Then the killer from the past steps in and decides to do away with Katelyn!

Book Review

I'm not very well versed in the Norse mythology legends, but enjoy reading about them all the same. In this case I only knew Loki as the mischief making god behind the mask in the movies by the same name. However the author has managed to give him a beautiful, in depth character.

Bringing him into the modern world and introducing the girl who's gotten into trouble through no fault of her own is fun. Its a good read with interesting twists and turns in the plot. The writing is fast paced and keeps things interesting. I particularly enjoyed the rainbow bridge sequence. Am planning to read the rest of the series. Will keep you posted about how I find the remaining books.

Book Review

Frank Decorah and his soul mate from beyond the veil, Ariel are an absolutely intriguing couple. I'm a paranormal fan and this little story has me jumping in my seat as I read. I'm really looking forward to see how Frank can help Ariel in her mission even if he has to stay on Earth.
I understand that this is a prequel and many of you may already be well acquainted with the Decorah Security series, but I am truly looking forward to the next book.
