Book Description
Monica Benton has to leave home, fast. Her parents are planning to marry her off to a man who thinks women belong in the home. It would never work.
Monica is a Suffragette, an amateur sleuth — and a good one. She sees no reason why she can’t join the ranks of the local lawmen, or even become a Texas Ranger, should she choose!
What will happen when she visits her best friend in Galveston, Texas, only to find herself face-to-face with Gabriel Randall, the handsome leader of the local Texas Ranger unit, whose cases she’s been meddling in?
For the first time, she finds herself knee-deep in territory she has no idea how to navigate, and more than just her life is on the line. She has no idea what to do with an attraction that is getting harder to deny by the day.
Book Review
Monica didn't want to get married and lose her identity. She would rather run away from home and support herself by solving mysteries for people. However her plans to be a detective to make a living run into a spot of trouble when the local bad guy turns his attention towards her for foiling a horse robbery.
Thankfully the local head ranger is right there to protect her, even if she thinks she can look after herself. Gabriel is not going to let her have the life that Monica envisioned for herself. He's going to give her something better!

Book Description
GRANDMA'S WEDDING QUILTS: Eleven Sweet Western Historical Romance Novellas and Novels from Eleven USA Today Bestselling, Amazon Bestselling, and Award-winning Authors. Grandma Mary's traditional gift to each of her grandchildren: hand-pieced and hand-stitched quilts. Made with love and woven with memories, wisdom, and a family legacy of enduring love.
The summer Meredith turned eighteen was filled with romance and laughter - two young men sought her hand, and she chose the one she thought would make her the happiest. He certainly was the most handsome, and the wealthiest, and could offer her the most pleasant life. But that turned out to be a mistake . . . one she would regret for a very long time.
In a strange twist of fate, now she's being given a chance to set things right. Will she be able to live down her past, or will her foolishness keep coming back to haunt her and keep her from ever being happy with the man she loves?
Book Review
This is the fourth book in an ongoing series called Grandma's Wedding Quilts. Meredith is Jesse's younger sister and as soon as she turns 18 is swept off her feet by Alex. Unfortunately Luke has always been waiting for her and she never noticed him. That apparently was the mistake. The author tried to bring in domestic violence as a theme and while I am sure it was a reality even back then, the book falls a bit flat compared to the previous books in the series. Am hoping the next one will be better.

Book Review
You run away from home in England to avoid getting married to a man twice your age. The man you are supposed to be a mail order bride for is lying dead on the street in a small city in Texas as a result of a gun battle that occurred just as you stepped off the coach. You are alone, have no money and need to get to your sister in Kansas. What do you do? Cora's dilemma.
You need to make this cattle run so that you have enough money to settle a farm. Without that land on your name your childhood crush refuses to consider your suit. You know you can make it successfully as long as you get the chance. You have a great set of men, but your trail cook gets shot in a gun fight the morning before you need to head out on the trail. What do you do? Jesse's ready to strike a bargain.
This was a fun follow up to Kizzie's story. It showed her brother Jesse's determination to get what he wants. Only trouble is after meeting Cora he's really confused about what it is that he really wants!

Book Description
Running from hostile Indians attacking Salina, Kansas in 1862, feisty Kizzie Atwell, Grandma Mary’s oldest grandchild, runs into freighter Leander Jones traveling the Smoky Hill Trail. He is as interested in her as his stallion is in her mare. The two join forces to prevent the Fort Riley Army captain from requisitioning their beloved horses for the cavalry. Avoiding bushwhackers and fighting off a thieving bullwhacker binds their bargain. In 1865, at the victory dance held at Fort Riley to celebrate the end of the Civil War, Kizzie is asked to participate in a fund-raiser to aid the Sanitary Commission helping injured and sick soldiers. It involves chaste sweetheart kisses in exchange for tickets purchased by officers and guests. As a contract freighter for the Army, Leander is invited. Much to Leander’s chagrin, before his chance to claim his kiss, Kizzie’s uncle steps in and puts an end to the kissing game. Is Leander out of luck, or will the bargain Kizzie and Leander made three years earlier to save their horses lead to a more romantic bargain sealed with a kiss?
Book Review
In this historical western adventure we meet Kizzie and Leander Jones. Kizzie's family is under threat of an Indian attack and she runs away from the family wagons on her horse Sugarcone to warn her father and uncle. So that they can come back and protect the family. She has never been a proper girlie girl and prefer to wear her younger brothers trousers when riding her horse. A particularly nasty incident with a low life has her rethinking her bold plan, but Leander shows up in time to rescue her and while it rankles her at the time, she's glad for his help. When Thunder, Leander's horse goes after her mare, she's about ready to throw a fit. Unfortunately the Army wants horses and if she wants to keep Sugarcone, she will have to breed her with Thunder. What she doesn't understand is Leander's request to visit their farm as stud fees. While Sugarcone is the excuse he has, Kizzie is very much the reason for his visits.
