If you have been following the Castle Ridge series, you would know that Vivian is the agent who represents both the celebrity chef as well as the professional skater from previous books. This is her story. How she discovered the small city of Castle Ridge, a new young talent who she signs up, as well as finding her place in his family.

Vivienne has been through a tough childhood in foster homes after her family was killed in a car accident. She's toughened herself up and is now on the fast track to success with her career as an agent. What she doesn't cater for is the accident on the way to Castle Ridge and meeting with the handsome paramedic who is part of the response team.

Paul has pretty much placed his life on hold to look after his siblings once his parents died. Now with only Jay left to run out of the nest, he doesn't know what he's going to do. Till he happens to rescue a pretty woman who seems to be so much in tune with him. She's running at the thought of a serious commitment and all he wants is someone to share his life. This is their story of making it work.

This is the story of Lexi's hard nosed businessman, elder brother Jackson. He's been through a lot to keep the family business solvent and not even had Ryder's help. He envies his siblings even as he moves through the motions to protect them and the family name. Now if only Ryder will do the right thing and marry Shey so that things stabilize in the merger. He does not see Emory coming in and disrupting his carefully laid plans. He did not think he would not be able to deal with her. He definitely did not expect to fall in love with her. Now he needs to look after her, but he can't be with her. After all she thinks she knows him, but he's a monster who has not revealed his true colours...or so he thinks. great story

We first met Dax in the first book of the series which was Reed's romance with Quinn. Dax was the younger brother who was in a funk about his girlfriend moving away. And Reed believed himself too damaged to be allowed to fall in love and helped him make a move on Quinn. However that did not work out and Reed did get his girl. What about poor Dax?

In a family of brilliant and passionate people he is the ordinary one. The dumb jock on ski patrol. The party boy who makes things fun. Unfortunately that's not how he wants the rest of his life to be. Already a bit discontent with the way things were he makes a life changing decision when he gets buried in an avalanche.
How serious is he about turning his life around does not make the story though..it's about how he wants Lexi to become less serious and have fun. The two come across as opposites, but balance is important in life.

Book Review

I went straight from the first book The Romance Dance to the third one here, so I was wondering a bit about the references to Luke's romance. However on the whole, the story can be read as a stand alone. I loved the action packed drama that the producer is trying to create and the Chef is trying to avoid.

Michael has a huge chip on his shoulder because of his choice of profession, specially since his father never approved of him. In fact he was borderline abused as a kid and is always trying to prove he is a man because of this.
Isabelle is living her dream and is just about to reach the height of achievement by becoming Head Chef at the Caste Ridge Hotel when Michael usurps her position. She's not happy about that, but he is her childhood crush and she's glad to spend time with him.

Things go from sweet and nice to sexy and steamy when the two of them hit it off. It's fairly predictable in terms of the story, but hey it's a romance with a HEA and that's why you're reading it, right?

Quinn is an ex-ballerina who wants to make dancing fun again. She doesn't want to remain in the rat race but instead wants to go back to her hometown and set up a dance school. She ends up being Reed's tenant.
Reed's brother wants Quinn and enlists Reed's help to woo her. Considering the fact that Reed has not shown any interest in a woman since his accident left him handicapped, he doesn't think twice about helping his brother...till he realizes that he wants Quinn for himself.
Nice plot, well written story and characters are very real.
