Book Description

A bachelor finds a pair of twins on his doorstep on Christmas morning then is even more stunned to learn from a pretty social worker that the baby girls, Mary and Bryte, have him listed on county paperwork as their father. A sweet and poignant tale about accepting the gifts of the season.

Emergency room physician Mark Holiday thinks he's seen just about everything life can deliver. That is, until twin baby girls land on his doorstep on Christmas morning. At a loss to explain where these babies came from, Mark's even more perplexed to learn from a pretty social worker that county paperwork lists him as Mary and Bryte's dad. Though he long ago gave up believing in Santa, Mark can't shake the niggling feeling that Old Saint Nick had something to do with this special delivery. Especially since it leads Mark to meeting the woman of his dreams.

Feisty social worker Natalie Church is sick to death of deadbeat dads. She certainly can't believe a guy would deny his own kids at Christmas! But the more Natalie gets to know Mark Holiday, the more she starts to wonder if his story is for real. When the pair becomes stuck at Mark's house during a blustery snowstorm, Natalie and Mark are forced to work together to care for the twins, while trying to solve the mystery of their unexpected arrival. As the holidays unfold, new facts emerge--exposing Mark and Natalie's minds to new possibilities. Will the magic of the season help them open up their hearts as well?

Book Review

This is a pure feel good read. The two protagonists are brought together when a couple of babies are abandoned at the doorstep of a bachelor.
The social worker assumes that Mark Holiday is a deadbeat dad. While Natalie Church has seen many fathers abandon their responsibility, Mark's caring behaviour towards the twins is at odds with  her opinion.
Forced to take care of the twins together, Mark and Natalie come close, but things take a turn for the worse when it turns out that the babies are actually Mark's.

He still pines for the stunning redheaded rebel with emerald-green eyes, who took his breath away at sixteen. When Kurt and Savannah reconnect in Tennessee at Savannah's sister's wedding, that old flame reignites and Kurt finds himself hoping for a brand new start. Yet Savannah's current circumstances in Miami threaten to hold her at bay. If Kurt could write a prescription for anything, it would be to win Savannah's heart. But will love be enough to conquer the secrets that stand between them?

Book Review

If you've been following the series you know that Kurt Christmas is the Christmas Town doctor and Savannah is his high school sweetheart. She is also the town sheriff's little sister, who happen's to be Kurt's best friend. Not to mention Olivia Claus, her elder sister is also happily married to Kurt's cousin.
When Savannah gets roped in to help start out the children's theater in Christmas Town, she figures it's a good opportunity to spend some time with her sister and big brother for a month. She knows she will have to face up to her past with Kurt but doesn't think anything will happen.
What she doesn't count on is the special brand of magic that follows the Claus and Christmas families. And Kurt has more than one magical trick up his coat's sleeve! Mix that with a commitment cookie and things get interesting. Really sweet continuation of the series.

Book Description

Mary Ellen Meeks isn’t looking for love in Paradise, Virginia. She’s aiming to make a fresh start teaching kindergarten at Turtle Creek Elementary. When a wayward rooster arrives on her doorstep one rainy October morning, good-hearted Mary Ellen temporarily takes him in. Then the mischievous fellow she names “Crazy” makes himself at home, turning her whole world upside down. Soon she’s chasing her chicken across the street and running straight into her handsome principal: kindly single dad, Wes Johnson.

Widower Wes has never met anyone quite so unusual or intriguing as his pretty new neighbor in Sweetheart Valley Hills. Though he surely can’t become involved with the beautiful blonde with big blue eyes, particularly since he’s her boss—and she’s his daughter’s teacher! Yet the fates and a matchmaking rooster have other plans… As autumn leaves turn bright red and gold, there’s romance in the air in Paradise. And that gives Crazy something to crow about.

Book Review

This is one of the most unusual pet stories I've read. Dogs, cats, hamsters, yeah, but a rooster? That too with a city girl?It was an adorable story of second chance love brought together by Crazy the rooster. Mary and Wes bond over caring for the rooster and of course the fact that he's her boss at school helps keeping them in touch. Not to mention that his daughter is in Mary's class at school. It's a very sweet HEA. Enjoyed reading it.

Book Description

Former interior designer and store owner Olivia Livingston followed her brother to Christmas Town, Tennessee two and a half years ago and never looked back. It was the perfect place for purchasing the holiday knickknack shop, All Things Christmas, and an ideal spot for hiding from heartache. Olivia's broken engagement to a Virginia vintner three years before shattered her illusions about love. So when a hot, young architect comes to town to restore the Grand Hotel, Olivia has no qualms about working with him on the project. Nick Claus might be tall, dark and exceedingly handsome--with spectacular blue eyes. But that doesn't mean Olivia's even mildly attracted to the really nice guy, who can totally fill out a pair of jeans. And, seriously? What is the deal with him thinking he can tell when she's been naughty or nice?

Book Review

Olivia has been happy since she shifted back to Christmas town. Her brother is there, she has her own shop, her horse is her baby and she helps with all kinds of volunteer work. She should be very content, but with her friends all recently married and popping out babies, she suddenly realizes that she wants more.

Nick is happy to spend time with his baby sister Sandy as he comes to Christmas Town to work on the old Grand Hotel. His skills as an architect may have brought him to town, but his pull towards Olivia is what's keeping him there. He wonders if she could really be the one who could accept him and his rather unique heritage?

Will she stay once she learns the truth? It's a whole lot of fun reading about how both Nick and Olivia deal with the magic playing havoc with their lives. I love the way Santa's Little Helper gives us clues of what to expect.

This is the third book in the Christmas Town series, but it works well as a stand alone too.

She has plans to sell the shop and go on to college. Then she comes to Christmas Town. The place is over the top Christmasy. The locals most welcoming and friendly. He's not sure if he should go ahead and try to get into a relationship with Hannah, especially when she has plans to leave in a couple of months.

Enter the Virginia Cookies from Lena's recipe. The magical properties of these cookies are supposed to work wonders, but when Hannah bakes them for Carter why won't he eat them? I'm sure if you enjoy Christmas stories you will love this one.

Book Review

Having read a number of other books by Ginny I was a little surprised at the paranormal element, but totally enjoyed it.
The Ghost Next Door - Elizabeth is a woman on a mission - make the little weekly newspaper come alive and make a good life for her teenaged daughter and herself in the new town. When things get a little spooky, Nathan, the town sheriff steps in to help. While Nathan is happy to be the one to keep the town safe, he'd rather keep his heart safer in Elizabeth's hands. He wants them to like the town and stay. Not leave like his sister Bella and niece Melody, but there are secrets around that may just drive the mother daughter duo away.

The Light at the End of the Road - Samantha Williams is in a hurry to get to the hospital where her father is undergoing heart surgery. The weather is terrible and a road block causes her to try some back roads which she would ordinarily never traverse. Then her car skids and she is in mortal danger. That's when Jake Marlow comes to her rescue. He pulls her out of the car despite the smoke from the burning engine. They then wander around the old country roads trying to find help. Unfortunately they seem to be lost, and Sam is not so sure they are going to get to the hospital in time for her to see her father. As they face mishap after mishap on the cold snowy night the two of them bond over the intense experience. The only trouble is, it was not real!

The House at Homecoming Cove - Melissa Carter is fighting burnout as a musician and heartbreak as a woman when she comes to stay for a month at the House at Homecoming Cove. She id definitely not prepared to meet her handsome groundskeepers, specially when she can't get rid of the feeling that she's met him before. Naturally that could never have happened with him here and her in New York, so why did she feel when she looked into his eyes that he knew her since ages. Stone Thomas has had nightmares of drowning since he was eight years old. The way he went under may have changed but the end result stayed constant. He was not looking for love, just a little bit of peace of mind as he made his way back after a traumatic accident in the Caribbean where he very nearly did drown. Then Melissa rented the home he felt drawn to for a month.
The two of them can't help but feel that they were meant to be, but when strange incidents occur in the house, which locals have considered haunted, both of them have to wonder if continuing their relationship is a good idea, after all.

Book Description

A heartfelt and hilarious tale about two lost souls finding their way to each other.

Allison Murphy spends a week in March with the same group of girlfriends each year. What started as a college spring break tradition morphed into an annual reunion, ultimately encompassing boyfriends and husbands. Only Allison hasn't brought along a love interest in years, inspiring the others toward goodwill efforts at fixing her up. Faced with the prospect of yet another beach week mismatched with a virtual stranger, Allison's room mate Kate suggests a shocking alternative. Allison can "borrow" Kate's handsome and successful boyfriend for the trip. The trouble is Grady O'Brien stands for everything romantic idealist Allison is against. He's a ruthless businessman who will stop at nothing to get ahead. What Allison doesn't understand is just how far Grady is willing to go...

Wine industry entrepreneur Grady O'Brien knows an opportunity when he sees one. Allison Murphy runs a boutique wine label design company, while Grady heads up a firm that buys those sorts of businesses out. When Grady's girlfriend unexpectedly must attend a conference and their vacation plans are cancelled, she encourages Grady to accompany Allison to the beach instead. Grady agrees to participate in the ruse of playing Allison's boyfriend with a secret agenda in mind. He hopes to pave the way for acquiring Allison's Bella Fortuna Wine Designs by winning favor with its pretty owner and her friends. The one thing Grady doesn't count on losing in the bargain is his heart.

Book Review

Allison has a tradition of spending a week with her college friends each year. And over the years love interests for the other girls have become part of the holiday. Only trouble is that now they have all settled down with their love lives and Allison is the only one who has never brought a boy along. So they match make for her with disastrous results. When she shares her troubles with her current room mate Kate, she is shocked when Kate offers her own boyfriend Grady O'Brien as a substitute fake boyfriend to see her through the week.

Grady knows things have reached the near end with Kate and the final straw is when she volunteers his company out to Allison. That girl may be an artist but she's a mess. Nothing close to as organized or coordinated as he is. But its the artist that he needs to win over for a business project and so he figures its not a bad idea to do her this favour. They both start the week with trepidation and plenty of misgivings, but as the story plays out it becomes obvious that they both care for each other a lot more than they should.

Being the honest and straight people they are, they stay away from the attraction that they feel towards each other. At least as much as they can. Then Allison discovers Grady's ulterior motive and throw him out. Will the two of them manage to get past all the misunderstandings and obstacles that seem to stand in their way? Find out when you read the book. I received an ARC for an honest opinion.

I truly did enjoy reading the story. Although you feel you know what will happen given the popular theme, the author manages to put in a couple of good twists in the tale. Its a fun, light read perfect for a lazy weekend.

Special Delivery (A Valentine's Short Story)
Sometimes gifts of the heart are the best gifts of all...

All Amanda Holiday wants is for her husband to come home for Valentine’s Day. She’s expecting their first baby, but her husband Luke – a US Navy fighter pilot – is half the world away. So Amanda determines to get through her childbirth alone with the help of a trusted good friend. When a raging snowstorm hits, complications ensue. Will Amanda’s strength see her through? And can Luke stay out of harm’s way? It may all depend on the power of love to achieve a happy ending.

Book Review

This story resonated with me on two levels, first I read it on Valentine's Day :) and second I had my baby while my husband was away on duty as well. The story of Luke and Amanda brings out the emotional hardships that service wives everywhere can identify with. The short story is sweetly written, with beautiful character development and a couple of thrills along the way.

The Holiday Bride (Holiday Brides Series Book 2)

Book Description

Santa knows best...

Waitress Lucy West is down on her luck at the diner. A fan of late-night television reruns, she's always dreamed of a nineteen-fifties style happily ever after. But, in reality, she's opted to settle. Barely scraping by on her meager salary and tired of going it alone, she figures marrying affable, yet distractible, Mitch as making the right move. Little does she know that Christmastime--and Santa--have other plans in store...

Bachelor dad William Kinkaid has his hands full with a young teenage son and a five-year-old daughter. Since losing his wife to cancer three years before, William's worked hard to keep things as upbeat and normal for the family as possible. After his child makes a special Christmas wish, William's stunned to awaken Christmas morning to find a beautiful blonde on the sofa. The woman can't remember a thing, and his kid thinks Santa brought her. Can William solve the mystery about who she really is, without giving away his heart?

Book Review

This has got to be the cutest amnesia twist story that I've read in a long time. There is just so much comedy going on in the whole situation and then there's the underlying love and affection just coming through on so many levels. Ginny Baird has excelled herself on this one.

Lucy is getting ready to get married, but her finance seems more interested in growing his business than growing their relationship. Still she tells herself she can't complain.

Carmella wants a new mom from Santa for Christmas and is fairly certain that she is going to get one. Her excitement knows no bounds when a mom is apparently delivered by Santa!

Justin doesn't want a new mom. He's not sure that his father is entirely innocent in the whole matter of the woman on the couch in the morning. Plus his mad net skills do add some complications to the situation.

William didn't think he was interested in romance any more. He was only interested in being the best possible parent to his kids, then Lucy made him realize he was perhaps ready for something more.

Totally enjoyed reading the book. All the typical twists that you would expect and some that you would never have thought of. A good clean, fun read!

Then one day close to Christmas, a beautiful woman from Chicago nearly runs him off the road during a snowstorm. What's more, she's got a kid in her car. It's only natural that John and his trusty golden retriever want to help drag them out of a ditch and steer them toward their destination. What John doesn't expect is that soon he'll be hoping Christine and her son will be staying in Vermont - for more than just a little while.

Book Review

Christine is so busy trying to provide for her son Tyler, that she almost begins to disconnect from him. Her boss and currently only friend gifts her a holiday in the form of house sitting a cabin in another city. It seems like a good idea for her to recharge her batteries and Christine takes up the offer. On the way the sudden snow storm almost leaves them stranded when the vehicle skids off road. That's when John rescues them and becomes their "guardian angel".

The chance meeting would have been easy for her to forget, but then they bump into each other again at the market and talk some more. They discover they are from the same college and although both feel the attraction, they decide that this is not the time in their lives that they need to bring in the complication of a love interest. Fate of course, has other plans. The characters are lovable and the story beautifully narrated. By the end you are rooting for them to get together already! Nice, fun read.

With financial pressures mounting and sole responsibility for her aging grandfather, Jill feels forced into wedlock in order to appease her publisher and keep her job. But it's only for a year, and she's devised a plan with her long-term friend. When Brad backs out due to problems with his real girlfriend Susan, Jill fears she'll be left standing alone at the altar. Then Brad offers a solution: Jill can marry the one man on earth she despises...his handsome best friend.

Hunter Delaney is a confirmed bachelor and that's how he likes it. When his best friend, Brad, approaches him with an unusual contract, he's determined to run for the hills, especially since the name on the paperwork is international celebrity Jillian Jamison, the woman who spurned him in high school. Hunter would rather do anything than spend twelve months of his life saddled with her. But he has a soft spot for Brad, who's in a predicament, so Hunter agrees to consider Brad's proposal. When Hunter learns he's getting passed over for a promotion because the family-oriented client only wants to work with someone who's married, this clinches the deal.

Hunter is "in" for as long as he can stand it. Jill is not thrilled with the arrangement either. But really, what choice does she have? Even if it has to look authentic on the outside, between her and Hunter it's just pretend. Besides, she reasons rationally, she's already got the dress...

Book Review

Jilly needs a husband, and her friend Brad is all set to play a fake one for a year for a share in the profits from Jilly's upcoming book. Then Brad's sweetheart Susan decided that is no way to get their relationship up and running. In a bind Brad gets his friend Hunter to stand in for him. Hunter is a heart breaker with a string of relationships behind him. Jilly doesn't want anything to do with her fake husband beyond a year.

It seems like they can have the ideal marriage for a year, clearly defined by a contract. Unfortunately things get complicated when Jilly actually starts to like Hunter, and Hunter has no idea exactly what these warm fuzzy feelings Jilly brings to his chest are! Between the two of them, they go from keeping up appearances to being deeply in love, but the path of true love never runs smooth.

Cassandra is a gossip rag reporter who brings out their story and perhaps strikes the death blow to their relationship...Loved the descriptions of the actual settling in of the much married couple together in the same house. The theory of a loving relationship runs very differently from the practical.

Book Description
Follow your fate... It might just lead to the romance of a lifetime!

Superstitious fortune cookie collector Ventura Hart has embarked on a new adventure in Washington, DC. Armed with a masters degree in writing, she has ambitions of working for a major news publication. But the job market is tight, and after a while Ventura realizes she can't be that picky. When she meets a handsome young bachelor in need of a nanny, she thinks she's found a temporary solution. Little does Ventura know, she's headed down a new path that will lead to more than she's ever hoped for.

Single dad Richard Blake is at his wits' end trying to secure help for his mischievous five-year-old twins. Known as DC's most eligible bachelor, the entrepreneurial magazine editor never imagines he'll fall for the one woman he's sure he can't have. She looks after his kids and has a boyfriend to boot. So his attraction to her is beside the point. But when Ventura becomes enmeshed in his family and Richard finds himself losing his heart, is there a way to secure a happy ending? It could all depend on a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of destiny.

A sweet, traditional PG-rated romantic comedy. Standard novella-length, approximately 30,000 words.

Book Review

This book is a beautiful modern day fairytale. You have the maiden in distress, Ventura, who wants to make a name for herself as a journalist. She is a firm believer in fortune cookies, having had the practice of collecting each one she gets all through her life. I can not imagine how she kept them all, but she did. Only trouble is, the one she got and wishes to be true is one that she has never ever got again.
You have the prince charming, Richard, who helps her publish her stories. Although being a modern day prince he has not waited for her but managed to get married to someone else and is now divorced with two kids. He is running through nannies just like in the Sound of Music. Then he finally gets a good one, Ventura, and he has a whole different set of ethical problems. Ones about falling in love with someone you employ.
The children are naughty, but tamed by Ventura's love and the room mate Mary gives Ventura the much required make over :) All Fairly tale points covered!
Its a sweet, gentle romance that you will love to read.

Book 1 of the Summer Grooms Series, Must-Have Husband is a Free Download on Amazon. The story is a comedy of errors which leads to an actual budding romance. It makes you smile and it makes you think of families everywhere having their own idiosyncrasies.

I could totally relate to the cunning old grand father trying to get everyone to do what he wanted by playing the "I'm dying anytime" card. The heirloom dress is also something that is quite common in our culture, so yes it has to be kept safe.

I almost laughed out loud when the sisters decided Mac was suicidal! It was a fun read, a sweet romance that managed to bloom despite all the odds stacked against it.
