Our little knight and dragon are back in action, but this time the adventure is closer home. They have to plan a party and they decide to make is a holiday celebration. They ask each of their neighbours what the best holiday they like is, and they receive a multitude of answers. This is a good way to introduce your little ones to a number of different festivals and foods associated with them in a easy to understand and fun manner.

Amanda Bannikov has written a delightful book for children in The Sleepy Dragon. They will certainly love the fun adventure Knight Kimothin had. I am sure there are children who stay up at night just like Tippy when they should be asleep, and I think this will make a nice bedtime story for them. The author tells this story very well, outlining everything Kimothin does in an appealing writing style. The characters are adorable and I like the artwork that accompanies the story

This is a delightful children's book with a twist on the old dragon and knight story. For starters the knight is a girl! And the dragon she sets out to slay manages to become a friend. It's nice to see a book where gender bias is missing and the fact that enemies can actually become friends is explained so easily. There is also the beautiful list to get your kids to act like the dragon and get comfortable for bed easily! So many subtle messages and a wonderful job on the illustrations.
